Education & Community
Freedom is a gift we protect by giving it to others.
Angelus creates a safe space. Education provides the tools. The community gives strength. We call this the Education Program of Freedom — where learning becomes a path to stability, employment, and a new future.
Core idea
Angelus is not a school, not an institution, and not a camp.
It is a real home—where children and the wider community can learn in safety, dignity, and respect.
We believe education should be accessible to everyone: children, youth, adults, and seniors.
That is why we are building a community learning program in Leyte that connects practical skills with everyday life—
helping people grow in confidence, independence, and opportunity.
Through our official partnership with LearnFree, anyone with their own laptop or computer will be able
to start learning online. For those without equipment, Angelus will provide a quiet learning space, computers,
and supportive guidance from a trained coordinator.
Our approach is simple: respectful support, no fees, no conditions—just real access to learning.
Step by step, we are building a pathway for people to improve their lives, find better work, or start something of their own,
and strengthen the whole community.

A Day in Angelus
Mornings
Begin calmly — no shouting or rushing, just greetings.
Shared Meal Time
Anyone may help prepare or serve.
Learning Through Play
In the garden, in creativity, cooking, caring for animals.
Free Time
Joy, music, sports, rest.
Evenings
Reflection and peace.

Freedom and Responsibility
Rules That Protect Us
Freedom does not mean doing everything I want — it means choosing what is right.
Mistakes are not punished; they are opportunities to learn and grow.
Shared Life in Angelus
Shared Decision-Making
Important matters are discussed in a quiet circle. Children can propose changes. Decisions are made to be fair to everyone.
Dreams and Talents
Every child has the right to try, explore, and make mistakes. There are no 'useless ideas' — only space to grow.
Solving Problems
We begin with conversation — calmly, without shouting. No one is excluded without the chance to make things right.
"Freedom is a gift we protect by giving it to others."
