Who We Are

Angelus is not a charity. It is a new beginning.

We are a community of people who believe that love, education, and dignity can rebuild what poverty has destroyed. Our work begins where others stop — with honesty, personal responsibility, and the will to create a safe world for children.

We do not manage problems from a distance.
We are there.

Why Angelus?

Because children who have lost everything deserve more than a system.

Because silence helps no one.

Because love and education can rebuild what poverty has destroyed.

We are not a large institution. We are a small, committed team that chooses presence over distance, and accountability over comfort. We ensure that donations are used directly for children and real projects. Every decision is documented. Every child matters — by name, not by number.

Education

Learning through play, creativity, and structured digital programmes. In partnership with LearnFree, we provide access to quality education for children and adults — including parents working toward legal residency. As part of our long-term vision, Angelus is developing EduAI — an ethical, child-centered AI learning system designed to give every child equal access to education, regardless of background or location. EduAI by Angelus — Coming soon.

Sustainability

Farming, protected workshops, and sustainable systems — including solar energy, biogas, and water.

A living environment where children and the community learn to care for nature, develop practical skills, and build independence.

Safe Haven

A dignified space for mothers and their young children who need a new beginning.
Not charity — but a place of acceptance, respect, and recovery.

Every woman is treated as an equal, with the right to heal at her own pace.

A Message from Our Founder

Angelus was not created as a project. It was born from real experience. I have spent years traveling across Africa and Asia. I have seen extreme poverty — but also strength, dignity, and humanity in people who have very little, yet still give everything they can.
At the same time, I saw something that could not be ignored: too often, help does not reach those who truly need it. Money disappears into systems, structures, and administration — far away from real lives.
This is not the path I chose. I believe that help only has meaning when it is honest, transparent, and reaches people directly.
Angelus was created to do things differently.

To build something simple, real, and sustainable.

Not a system. A place where people matter. I do this for children.
For communities that deserve a chance.
For a future built on dignity, not pity. Angelus is not about me. It is about responsibility.

Marek Macko — Founder & Director
Children deserve more than survival. They deserve a life of dignity, love, and hope.

Our Commitment

We are building transparency into everything we do. Every euro, every meal, every action has a clear purpose.
We measure help not by quantity, but by dignity.
Our promise: to keep Angelus human, simple, and honest.
