Civora by Angelus
What if help could find those who need it?
Today, organizations search for help. Civora is changing the system so that help can find them.
Civora will connect verified organizations and their real, current needs with people, companies and institutions looking for meaningful ways to help.
The problem is not that people do not want to help.
Every day, organizations around the world spend time and resources searching for donors, grants and opportunities simply to make their work possible. At the same time, people, companies and institutions willing to help are searching for organizations and real needs that match what they want to support.
How Civora will work
Verified organizations will publish their real, current needs. People, companies and institutions will search those needs according to what they want to support. Civora will help them find each other — without taking control of the relationship or the help itself.
Verify
Organizations must pass independent external validation before they can publish needs on Civora. Validation confirms their identity and legal existence — it is not a guarantee of project quality or outcomes.
Publish a real need
Verified organizations will publish what they actually need — financial support, equipment, professional expertise, volunteer time or other forms of help. The need comes from the organization itself, not from what a donor wants to hear.
Search
People, companies and institutions will search according to what they want to support — by location, type of need, area of work or other criteria. Civora will help them discover relevant current needs without paid rankings or preferential visibility.
Help directly
When someone finds a need they want to support, they will contact the organization directly. Civora will not receive, hold or distribute donations, and it will take no percentage from the help provided. The relationship remains directly between the person or institution offering help and the organization receiving it.
Civora is not another grant platform.
Organizations will not compete for visibility, tailor applications to donor calls or pay to be seen. Donors will not publish funding opportunities for organizations to chase. Instead, verified organizations will state what they genuinely need, and those who want to help will search for needs that match what they care about.
Built to keep help direct.
Free to use.
Civora will not charge organizations or people for access to the platform or for being discoverable through it.
No paid visibility.
No organization will be able to pay for a higher position, greater visibility or preferential treatment in search results. Civora is designed to give relevant needs a fair opportunity to be discovered, regardless of the size or fame of the organization behind them.
No percentage from help.
Civora will not take a percentage from donations, material support, professional assistance or other help provided through connections made on the platform.
No control over the relationship.
Civora helps people discover real needs. The decision to help, communication, due diligence and the relationship itself remain directly between the organization and the person or institution offering support.
We are changing the system.
Instead of asking organizations to spend their energy searching for help, Civora is being built so that people who want to help can discover the organizations and real needs they are looking for.
Why we are building Civora
Civora was born from the experience of Angelus – Cahaya Anak itself.
We know what it means for a small non-profit organization to have a serious idea, a real mission and the determination to make it happen — and still spend enormous amounts of time searching for the right donor, partner, institution or person willing to listen.
We realized that this is not only a question of finding more funding. It is a problem in the way help is discovered.
Organizations should be able to focus their energy on the people and communities they exist to serve, rather than constantly searching for opportunities, adapting themselves to funding calls and trying to reach the right person.
At the same time, there are people, companies and institutions that genuinely want to help — but finding a real, current need that matches what they want to support can be difficult too.
Civora grew from a simple question:
What if we could reverse that process?
What if an organization could simply say what it genuinely needs — and someone looking to help could find it?
That is why Angelus is building Civora.
Help us build Civora
Civora is not yet launched.
Civora is currently a pre-launch initiative of Angelus – Cahaya Anak. We are preparing the technical, legal and organizational foundations required to turn the concept into a functioning global platform.
The planned 12-month pre-launch phase includes the core development team, technical development and infrastructure, legal preparation, independent quality and security testing, validation setup, localization and user testing, as well as the operational capacity required to build Civora responsibly.
Estimated 12-month pre-launch budget
€343,000
This is an estimated fundraising framework for the pre-launch phase, not a final fixed cost. It does not include the future operating costs of Civora after launch.
Angelus welcomes discussions with foundations, institutions, companies, philanthropic partners and others who may be interested in helping us build Civora. Support may contribute to the overall development phase or to a clearly defined part of the work.
If you believe help should be easier to find,
we would like to hear from you.
